FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ – Vida Genesis Micro-ATX Gaming Case
1. Which motherboard sizes will it take?
The Genesis is built for Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX boards only; full-size ATX motherboards will not fit.
2. Do any fans come pre-installed?
Yes – two 120 mm ARGB fans (one front intake, one rear exhaust) provide airflow and lighting straight out of the box.
3. How many extra fans or radiators can I add?
Fan mounts: up to 3 × 120 mm front, 2 × 120 mm top, the pre-installed rear 120 mm, plus 2 × 120 mm on the PSU shroud.
Liquid cooling: front — 240 mm radiator; rear — 120 mm radiator.
4. What is the maximum GPU length and CPU-cooler height?
Graphics card: up to 278 mm long.
Air-cooler: up to 158 mm tall – enough for popular towers such as the Hyper 212.
5. Will a full-size ATX power supply fit?
Yes – the bottom bay supports standard ATX PSUs up to 170 mm long. Modular units keep cabling tidy.
6. What storage drive options are inside?
Tool-less trays let you install either 2 × 3.5″ HDD + 1 × 2.5″ SSD or 1 × 3.5″ HDD + 2 × 2.5″ SSD – three drives total.
7. Which front-panel ports do I get?
Easy-reach I/O: 1 × USB 3.0, 2 × USB 2.0, HD-Audio & Mic 3.5 mm jacks.
8. How is the ARGB lighting controlled – do I need a hub?
Fans and the front LED strip use a standard 3-pin 5 V ARGB header. Connect directly to a compatible motherboard for syncing; add an inexpensive hub if your board lacks ARGB.
9. Are dust filters included?
The Genesis focuses on airflow and value – no slide-out dust filters. Periodic compressed-air cleaning is recommended.
10. Is the side panel real tempered glass, and how does it open?
Yes – a full-size tempered-glass window secured by four thumb-screws lifts off for easy access. Handle with care.
11. What are the external dimensions and weight?
195 mm (W) × 423 mm (H) × 340 mm (D); case weight ≈ 3.3 kg (≈ 4 kg boxed).
12. Does it come with a power supply or any extras?
No PSU is bundled. The box includes mounting screws, standoffs, a quick-start sheet and basic cable ties.
13. What warranty is provided?
Vida supplies a 1-year return-to-base warranty covering manufacturing defects.
14. Can I turn the lights off completely?
Yes – set the motherboard ARGB header to “off/black” in software, or use a controller with a static-black / power-off mode.
15. Is it loud?
The included hydraulic-bearing fans run quietly at low RPM (~20–24 dB). They become audible under heavy load; upgrading to premium PWM fans can further reduce noise.
