2) How fast is it (Powerline & Wi-Fi)?
Powerline link rate up to 1428 Mbps (theoretical). The Wi-Fi 6 extender is AX1800: up to 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz + 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.
3) Will it work with my existing powerline adapters?
It’s compatible with G.hn powerline adapters. It is not compatible with HomePlug AV/AV2 adapters.
4) Does it support EasyMesh / whole-home mesh?
Yes — it's EasyMesh-compatible, so you can pair it with an EasyMesh-compatible router to create a single, seamless mesh (one Wi-Fi name, smart roaming).
5) What’s the real-world range over the mains?
Up to ~300 m over your electrical wiring in ideal conditions. Throughput varies with wiring quality, breakers/RCDs, and electrical noise.
6) How many Ethernet ports do I get?
Combined 2 + 1 Gigabit: the PG2400P has 2× GbE; the PGW2440 extender has 1× GbE — for consoles, TVs, PCs, or set-top boxes.

Yes — the PG2400P has an extra passthrough AC socket so you don’t lose a plug point.

Plug directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips/surge protectors). Keep adapters on the same electrical circuit where possible and away from noisy appliances.
9) How do I set it up?
Plug PG2400P into your router via Ethernet and a wall socket. Plug the PGW2440 where you need coverage and press the Pair buttons (within 2 minutes). You can clone Wi-Fi via WPS or manage via tplinkplc.net / TP-Link’s tpPLC app.
10) Security features?
Powerline uses 128-bit AES encryption (paired devices only). Wi-Fi supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3.
11) Can I add more adapters later?
Yes — pair additional G.hn powerline units with the Pair button or via the web/app. (Note: the PGW2440 extender may not be sold standalone in all regions.)
12) What’s the difference between EasyMesh and OneMesh?
EasyMesh is a standards-based mesh supported by many newer TP-Link devices; OneMesh is TP-Link’s older proprietary mesh. This kit is listed as EasyMesh-compatible. Cross-brand EasyMesh generally works, but firmware differences can affect results.
