FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ – Team Elite A1 512 GB microSDXC Card
1. What speed class and performance does the card offer?
It’s UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3), Video Class V30 and Application Class A1, rated for up to 100 MB/s read and 90 MB/s write – fast enough for 4 K video capture and rapid file transfers.
2. Will it work in Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, GoPro or DJI drones?
Yes. Any device that accepts microSDXC UHS-I cards (including Switch / Switch OLED, Steam Deck, GoPro HERO 5-12, DJI Mini/Air drones, Android phones and tablets) recognises the 512 GB Elite A1 without issues.
3. Is 4 K – even 5.3 K – recording smooth?
The guaranteed V30 (≥30 MB/s sustained write) spec easily handles 4 K 60 Mb/s video. Action cameras that shoot 5.3 K / 100 Mb/s also run fine thanks to the 90 MB/s peak write speed.
4. What benefits does the A1 rating bring to Android users?
A1 ensures at least 1 500 IOPS random read / 500 IOPS random write, so apps stored on the card install, launch and update more quickly than on non-A-class cards.
5. Is an SD adapter included for laptops and cameras?
Yes – a full-size SD adapter comes in the pack for easy use in DSLRs, notebooks and desktop readers.
6. How rugged is the card?
It’s built to be water-, dust-, X-ray- and shock-proof, and it operates from −25 °C to 85 °C, protecting your data in extreme conditions.
7. How much usable space will Windows or Android show?
After formatting you’ll see ≈ 476 GiB (about 492 GB) because operating systems count capacity in binary GiB while manufacturers quote decimal GB.
8. Which file system is pre-loaded, and can I re-format it?
It ships pre-formatted exFAT. You can safely re-format to FAT32, NTFS, EXT4 or any file system your device requires.
9. Is it suitable for Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi and other SBC projects?
Absolutely. Single-board computers with UHS-I slots boot and run OS images from this card without special tweaks.
10. Can it handle continuous recording in dash-cams or CCTV?
It’s fine for daily loop recording and moderate 24 × 7 use. For harsh, high-temperature endurance workloads, a purpose-built “high-endurance” card is recommended.
11. Will the card fit in tight phone or drone slots?
Yes. Like all microSD cards, it’s a single-sided IC package only ≈ 1 mm thick, so clearance isn’t an issue.
12. What warranty does TeamGroup provide?
The Elite A1 series is covered by a 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects (lifetime in some regions, per local law).
