FAQ: Frequently Asked Question
Fractal Design Pop Air — FAQ
What motherboards fit?
ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX are supported.
How many fans come in the box?
Three 120 mm Aspect 12 fans (two front, one rear) are pre-installed. Supports up to five 120 mm (or four 140 mm) fans total.
What radiator sizes does it support?
Front: up to 280 mm; Top: up to 240 mm (keep RAM height ≤ 46 mm); Rear: 120 mm.
Max GPU length?
Up to 405 mm. (Check front radiator/fan clearance if water-cooling.)
Max CPU cooler height?
Up to 170 mm air-cooler clearance.
Max PSU length?
Up to 170 mm. (Longer units may interfere with drive or cable space.)
Is the front mesh dust-filtered?
Yes — dust filters are fitted on the front, top, and PSU intakes.
What storage can I install?
Up to 3× 3.5"/2.5" combo mounts plus 4× 2.5". It also retains dual 5.25" bays behind a magnetic door. Includes two trays that each support a 3.5" and 2.5" drive simultaneously.
Front I/O — does it have USB-C?
Out of the box: 2× USB 3.0 Type-A, mic and headphone jacks. You can add a USB-C 10 Gbps front port with Fractal’s optional upgrade kit.
Is this the tempered-glass version?
No — “Black Solid” has a solid steel side panel (no window). For a windowed look, choose a Pop Air TG variant.
Cable-management room?
~19 mm behind the motherboard tray, with Velcro straps and large pass-throughs for tidy builds.
Dimensions & weight?
Approx. 215 × 454 × 473.5 mm (W×H×D), ~6.8 kg.
Will a 280 mm AIO fit with tall RAM?
Yes in the front. For top-mounted AIOs, keep RAM height ≤ 46 mm.
Anything unique about Pop Air vs other “mesh” cases?
The hex-mesh front aims for high airflow, and it uniquely retains dual 5.25" bays with a neat storage drawer/door — rare on modern cases.
