The Fractal Design Define 7 Black Solid is a premium silence-focused mid-tower PC case built for clean, professional gaming rigs and powerful workstations. It combines sound-damped panels with a highly modular internal layout, so you can build for quiet airflow, custom water-cooling or mass storage—without swapping cases.
At a glance: sound-damped steel panels, anodised aluminium front door (reversible hinges), 3× pre-installed 140mm Fractal Dynamic X2 GP-14 fans, Nexus+ 2 fan hub, and a front I/O with USB-C (up to 20Gbps) plus four additional USB ports.
Quiet by design (but still ready for high-end cooling)
Define 7 uses industrial sound-damped front, top and side panels to keep noise down, while still offering serious cooling headroom. You can install up to nine fans and support large radiators up to 420mm at the top (open layout) for custom loops and high-TDP CPUs.

Open layout or storage layout – build it your way
Define 7 features a dual-layout interior:
- Open Layout: maximum space for long GPUs, thick radiators, reservoirs and clean cable routing.
- Storage Layout: convert the interior to support up to 14 HDDs alongside multiple SSD mounts (with additional trays/cages).
Included out of the box: 6 universal HDD/SSD trays, 2 dedicated SSD brackets and a Multibracket (turns unused fan positions into HDD/SSD/pump mounts).
